Trying on the World
The Australia Centre for Youth Literature, State Library of Victoria, has put together a commented list of y/a books that “explore the lives and experiences of young people from many cultures and countries.” Although not specifically Pacific Rim or South Asia related, this is an excellent list of must read, and the books' synopsis are very helpful. And a lot of the books listed are published or distributed in the USA, in Canada, or in the UK:

Austral Ed
Austral Ed is an Australian book supplier which also creates booklists of children's titles.
