Canadian Children's Literature Service
The Canadian Children's Literature Service Collection offers advisory, reference, and bibliographic services based on its collection, that includes books written in English, French and other languages which are published in Canada and books written or illustrated by Canadians, as well as books about Canada, which are published abroad. The Service responds to questions made in person, by telephone, in writing, and electronically.

Eileen Wallace Children's Literature Collection
This is one of Canada's most extensive collections of children's literature, although unfortunately it is a non-circulating library. Check the website for interesting information and to find out about the Eileen Wallace Research Fellowship in Children's Literature, worth up to $5,000 per year.

Literacy.org is a great resource for research and development on literacy in the U.S. and worldwide. It provides a wealth of information on literacy and international development and their "International Literacy Explorer" page shows up- to-date data about literacy levels for different countries and regions.

ProLiteracy
The oldest and largest nongovernmental literacy organization in the world, ProLiteracy is a non-profit international literacy organization formed by the merger of Laubach Literacy International and Literacy Volunteers of America, Inc. Check out a list of their International Programs.

The Literacy Project
