| PaperTigers.org is a website about books in English for young readers. It embraces multicultural books from or about anywhere in the world, with a particular focus on the Pacific Rim and South Asia. PaperTigers offers a wealth of book-related resources for teachers, librarians, parents and all those interested in the world of children's and young adult books.
The goal
PaperTigers.org seeks to highlight the richness of the book world to provide both mirrors and windows for children on their journey towards self-awareness and global understanding, as well as open doors to step into different cultures, and to be a useful resource for librarians, teachers, parents, and publishers.
Through its WaterBridge Outreach, PaperTigers.org connects children around the world with books that foster these goals. In some places, individualized water projects are also introduced in order to increase the potential of enhancing literacy.
The family
PaperTigers.org is part of PaperTigers: Books+Water, which promotes books and reading as a means to achieve greater understanding and to celebrate diversity.
Via its family of websites and real-life projects, PaperTigers: Books+Water celebrates literary voices from around the world and helps to bring those voices to young people:

The people
PaperTigers.org is edited and produced by Marjorie Coughlan (UK) via the San Francisco headquarters, and co-edited by Corinne Robson (Canada). It also counts on the invaluable contribution of reviewers and collaborators in the Pacific Rim.
The PaperTigers.org website was set-up and launched by Elisa Oreglia in 2002 and continued to flourish under Aline Pereira as Managing Editor 2004-2010. The site was designed and has been ably developed by Eun-Ha Paek, and the initial logo and site diagrams are the work of Rolf Mortenson.
